Hello!
I am so happy you’ve stopped by. This site will inspire you with unique ideas, great Amazon finds, and good organizing tips. You will also find DIY posts to make all sorts of things for less. And if I don’t already have a solution for you, I’m hopeful you will reach out to me. I shine brightest when I’m creating and solving challenges. Plus I LOVE to help!
As we all share our experience (in person and online), I believe everyone can grow beyond themselves and achieve new unimaginable heights.
My Style DIY
While I can appreciate neutrals, beige and black – I love me some color! And animal print is a neutral in my book that never goes out of style. It will usually show up somewhere in my décor or outfit.
I tend toward shimmer, luster and sparkle (not glitter).
The Lowe’s tagline “Never Stop Improving” could also be mine. As a DIY Enthusiast, I’m constantly, updating and changing things around in our home (and the homes of friends).
My accounting background makes me ever mindful of the bottom line. So before making a large purchase, I tend to ask first “how can I DIY that?”
This was a recent DIY conversion from wrought iron to raindrop chandelier 🙂 That post is here.
Personal DIY
My creative soul gets to soar when I’m doing freelance floral design and large-scale installations. I’m currently working with luxury event companies that do weddings and parties all across the United States.
I get to travel abroad. And use my problem-solving skills to make impossible ceiling treatments and other grand features. This wisteria ceiling took hundreds upon hundreds of stems! It was a magical event when we all got done with it.
I am happily married to a Prince. This is always my response when people ask my secret for a successful 36 yr marriage (as of this writing, 2023). {If you want a few giggles, here’s a post that I categorized as “Husband Wife Sillies“.}
He runs circles around me in terms of speaking my love language. (The 5 Love Languages is a must read for any successful marriage.) I am TRULY BLESSED! We believe communication is key. And putting others before self is pretty important too.
We never had children of our own but my amazing niece and nephew are like our children. 32 and 24 respectively (as of this writing, 2023).
We had a crash course in parenting when they both moved in with us for a few years. Fun times 🙂 They are both out on their own now. One lives in Arlington the other is not that far from us.
They took this photo just before attending the Taylor Swift concert here in Dallas, April 2023.
We’ve had fur babies through the years (dogs). But we lost our last one early in 2023 (anyone who has lost a pet knows that gut-wrenching pain!). We travel a lot more these days so we may hold off on getting another pet.
We live near Dallas, Texas. I can’t imagine living anywhere else. But we do like to take motorcycle trips to nearby states where we can find curvy roads and tons of trees.

I am so thankful for a community that shares their know-how and experience. This allows us to more easily build upon one another’s successes.
Please reach out if you have questions. I’d love to help you get your project off the ground and over the finish line. I’d also love to know if some of these DIY ideas have worked for you.
P.S. I want this to be a fun and SAFE place to exchange our ideas (yes I’m talking to you naysayers right now).
With that, let’s start Making it Fabulous!
